Lily the lamb loved cookies! Especially chocolate chip cookies.
One sunny afternoon, Mommy Sheep baked a whole plate of Lily's favorite cookies.
"Don't eat them all at once, Lily!" Mommy Sheep chuckled.
Lily promised she wouldn't. She only ate three… maybe four.
Then, she went outside to play with her best friend, Pip the penguin.
They built a tall tower of blocks and raced little toy cars.
When Lily came back inside, the cookie plate was… EMPTY!
"Oh no!" cried Lily. "Where did all the cookies go?"
Mommy Sheep looked surprised. "I didn't eat them," she said.
Lily started to investigate. First, she looked under the table.
Nope, no cookies there!
Then, she looked behind the curtains. Still no cookies!
Pip the penguin waddled in. "What's wrong, Lily?"
"All my cookies are gone! It's a cookie mystery!" Lily explained.
Pip helped Lily look for clues. They noticed little crumbs near the window.
"Aha!" exclaimed Pip. "Someone sneaky climbed in!"
Lily peeked outside. And there he was… Barry the bunny, with chocolate all over his nose!
Barry blushed. "I couldn't help myself! Your cookies smelled so good!"
Lily giggled. "It's okay, Barry," she said. "But next time, ask before you eat them! Mommy can bake more."
Mommy Sheep smiled. She baked even more cookies, and everyone shared. The mystery was solved, and everyone was happy!
